Please Help with Denon Receiver choice concerning Audyssey and living in an apartment

I have an apartment, small open front room, and for obvious reason cannot play anything too loud.
Regardless, I want great audio for movies and music. I want t o be able to stream Pandora & use USB FLAC.
I do have enough room to squeeze in 7.1 speakers. But any more would be too much. Right now i'm only using a 5.1 setup that I will upgrade soon.
Here are the AVRs I'm considering: Denon 3313, 4311 & 4520. I don't want to spend more than I have to, so will the different Audyssey versions make a huge difference in my case? And which one would you pick and why?

Holy cow you're starting with some pretty high priced receivers.

What speakers do you have?

The 4311 is on clearance so it's a great buy. It has Audyssey XT32 so will do an excellent job equalizing the room. No sense buying a cheap receiver if you know you'll want a better one.

Well right now I have some Missions 794se fronts & 79cse center, a M&K V-76 Sub and DCM CX17 for surrounds. I know that this is not the best set-up, but I do plan on upgrading soon. I had an Onkyo TX-SR806, but it fried and had other issued before it died so I am steering clear of them for now.

As long as your budget permits, you would be much better served with an XT32 model (ie. 4311CI on clearance) or it's replacement the 4520CI. Owner's coming from XT models to an XT32 model generally always notice an appreciable difference in improved audio fidelity due to the larger increase in filters used.

Oh, I was so hoping either you and/or Batpig would have chimed in. Well, looks like the 4311 for me then, Thanks!! smile.gif I've been reading everything you guys have posted and it has got me this far. I really appreciate it,. thanks.

I'm going to grab a 4311 over at accessories4less. But I can't do it till I get my tax return in Feb, I hope they still have some, if they don't it's the 4520ci then.
