Connecting external speakers to LG HW350T

I just received and set up this LED projector. I was ready to go back to the manual and see how to connect external speakers but could find no info on this subject. Went to LG site on web but still nothing. It was addressed in the forum and one user suggested going through a pc to connect the projector to speakers (I assume through an amp). A post from LG said that this model does not support any home theater components. Does this mean it is not possible to connect external speakers?

You don't send image to projector and sound to speakers (usually with an AV receiver).

Not sure how you missed it the manual, but it clearly states that the Audio Out connection is for headphones. So if you were to connect external speakers, there would not be a lot of volume. You'll need to connect to an amplifier if you want to drive speakers. And at that point, it doesn't make sense to run audio to the projector and then BACK to an amplifier. Take the audio out of your source and connect to an amp.
