I want an on-screen interface such as popcorn hour. What do I need?

I am new to the media streaming area. I love the popcorn hour idea but I have no clue how to get my BD on there. Do I need to build a server or will the Popcorn Hour rip the disk automatically. Please lead me in the right direction. Thanks

I meant, will the Popcorn Hour RIP the BD and store them on the hardrive. Please inform me on exactly what I need. I have read the website but it doesnt explain if you need a htpc or what I need. Thanks
