Read this first:

http://curtpalme.com/CRTPrimer.shtm

Then get this:

www.moomecard.com.

Feeding a 1080i HDMI signal is the best thing you can do for the PRO 900, it's too low an end of set to really benefit from the money you'd spend on a scaler.

Do you have the large setup remote, and do you know how to converge, because the PRO 900 is a pain to set up if you've never done it before.

I have one setup remote left if you need one, and if the tubes are in decent shape (check that before you spend anything on this set), it will throw a nice picture.

If you've had this since new with video only sent to the projector, then you've been stuck in 1st gear in a 5 speed. You'll love the upgrade HD will give you.

ok i always think i have the 900 but i actually have a zenith 880 so it quite a bit different.

sorry

i read your crt thread great stuff there.

after reading it i think my problem is the lines of resolution. i can see them seperated.

and i only have three possible connectoins on the back

the best being a 9 pin connector that says rgb.

i have never hooked anything to it mostly because this 9 pin is hard to find.

and apon reading your link i think this is the one i need to hook up to.

so my new question is am i rite and do i need a line doubler or just better hdmi signal?

thank again john

Then sadly there's no upgrades that can be done, sorry! Best you can do is get a PRO 900 that fits onto the same bracket and has the same throw distance, and THEN follow my previous advice. smile.gif

would using that 9 pin connector make the picture better?

do you have any 900 models?

No, because the projector can only scan to a 320 X 240 video signal, so the 9 pin connector is useless.

Yes I do have a couple of PRO 900s in stock, shoot me an email to curtpalme at shaw.ca

Thanks!
