Shelf within a shelf for receiver and PS3

I have a shelf that has 14" of space and I need to find a smaller "shelf" option that will fit in this space to break it up. The shelf is made into the wall, so that is not able to be changed. Does anyone know of a simple option to separate this space so I can stack my PS3 above my receiver without putting it directly on top?
