I think it was established that somehow Cox was broadcasting KPTM-DT and KXVO-DT, but that they were off the air in broadcast form. (Probably because there is a fibre link between the Pappas studios and the Cox facilities 5 blocks away...)

They are both broadcasting over the air again.

Now on KXVO-DT: Gigli. Coincedence?

Also checked their sister station 15 and it is not seen either place too. Anyone have an idea what happened? Are they seen on COX? I am pretty sure that Dish is broadcasting a signal that the get OTA but not sure how COX gets the signal.

The power was out in parts of the Gretna area this morning. KPTM/KXVO may have lost power at the tower site.

Are you referring to 50th and Dodge? I thought Cox moved EVERYTHING to 115th and Dodge? Is there anything left at that facility?

I have a feeling cox wasn't even going to show the Royals today if it wasn't canceled since fsn had fsnmw programming at 12:30 and 1:00 with no mention of the Royals.

My on-screen guide showed the Royals game at 1:00 on 47 and 745, though it was rained out.

Wonder if Cox might be able to add GAMEHD soon. Would be a nice addition to the MLB pack.

so did mine, but with not even a cutin at 1 to say it was canceled seems kind of fishy.

I don't think they could have easily done a cutin unless Cox put up an overlay (can they do that?) as they would have been carrying FSNMW and would have had to switch to a different feed (FSNKC?) at 1, I think.

FSNKC is actually FSNMW when the Royals play the fact cox hasn't even released a schedule doesn't sound good.

Royals vs. White Sox is on channels 47 and 745 right now and blacked out on MLB Extra Innings.

Looks like we will get all the games

Good news! An agreement with Fox Sports that will allow Cox to air all games this season is being finalized as we speak. Although we are unsure as to whether or not Fox Sports will authorize tonight's game for Cox viewers, we anticipate being able to air Friday's game. Please feel free to e-mail me or give me a call if I can be of further assistance.

Enjoy the games!

2 Part question:
1. Was anyone watching Dancing with the stars Monday night? ABC was in SD not HD most of the telecast

2. I am looking into a universal harmony remote, hoes does that work with the DVR box from cox? Same sfunctions such as record, stop, dvr list...etc??

Sounds like Multi-room DVR from Cox is finally getting closer.

I assume this applies to Omaha, as well...

From the Topeka Capital Journal:

Full Royals TV slate now on Cox

April 8, 2009 - 12:12pm
The Kansas City Royals entire 140-game television package will now be available to subscribers of Cox Cable, the largest TV provider in Topeka and much of Kansas.

Geoff Goldman, a spokesman for the Fox Sports Kansas City network that originates all Royals telecasts, announced Wednesday that an agreement had been reached between the network and the cable company that will allow the telecast of the Wednesday night Royals at Chicago game, as well as Friday's home opener against the Yankees at the renovated Kauffman Stadium.

Until the two sides reached their agreement, Wednesday's game and the Friday home opener, as well as Sunday's series finale against New York, were not part of the 100-game package Cox agreed to carry.

Fox Sports KC expanded the Royals TV schedule from 100 to 140 games last year. The full package was carried on satellite TV providers, but Cox chose not pick up the additional 40 games, citing an added expense it did not want to pass on to its customers.

Goldman said 99 of the 140 games would be broadcast in high definition.

Looking at the schedule the game for today in Chicago would have been on Cox anyway since WGN America has rights to White Sox games and the game is in HD.

Thank you for your inquiry. Cox is committed to providing the best customer service possible.

At this time I know of no plans to add or show any of the MLB Extra Innings package in HD. We are using our bandwidth at this time to add HD programming that all of our customers can view and not just our seasonal or sports packages. That does not mean that we will not at some time in the future this could not change but not at this current time. The MLB Network will be added in HD at the end of April but not the package. If there is anything else we can do for you, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Well I rather have more HD channels then a seasonal package that I probably wouldn't burn money on.

I think the 8 HD that are coming already had contracts signed before the 1GHz upgrades where doneand now that it is PPVHD could be comming sooner rather than later.

Does anyone know if Cox is ever going to change the guide to actually say there is programming on FSNHD or will it always read "OFF AIR". I know there's been talk about having the Royals games in HD, but the guide doesn't indicate tomorrow night's game is in HD according to the guide.

I even had my unit unplugged for 24 hours (had carpeting put in the family room so had to unplug everything) so I know my DVR doesn't need to be rebooted.

Thoughts?

We were trying to set up the DVR for Deadliest Catch on 4/14 and it would not allow us to record....gave us the "No record" symbol. We check all the channels and are not recording anything else at that time....9:00pm

do you mean Saturday's Yankee game? my hd/dvr says it's in HD on the guide. My dvr has always shown the programming info for FSNHD except Tuesday when the Mondays opener was rained out.

have yo tried tuning to that channel? maybe for some reason it was off air when you tried to set it up. I just tried and my dvr set it fine. if that still doesn't work try rebooting the box maybe a error.

Sure hope Omaha gets this first. I would switch to Cox for this.

DirecTV also is working on Multi Room Viewing. It will be interesting to see who gets it first. Competition is good for all.

In general it is rare that my guide shows that anything is programmed for FSNHD - my DVR box always says "Off Air" in the guide, even if there is programming.

Does FSN not show a lot of HD - I knew at one time they didn't, but I also had read that by the 1st Quarter of 09 they would be broadcasting everything in HD. Perhaps they meant only live games, and not regular programming that they upconvert?

it's rare because there is not a whole lot on FSNHD. the Royals will be and nebraska football might. how many days days do you have data for? I have data til next thrusdayon my dvr. if you do not it might need to reloaded. try pressing guide on the dvr till it says read on the front of the dvr to redownload the data.

I'll try it. The guide usually goes out 6-7 days. I guess I was hoping there was more HD on FSN. There were times this winter when the guide would say there was a basketball game in HD but there wasn't, and times when it said "OFF AIR" and there was something on. Just thought there would be more HD content. I'm greedy.
