Woo-hoo,..another Sci-Fi/post apocalyptic. Will this be the one that M Night doesn't deliver another wanker? God I hope so..
3 for 2013 Oblivion, After Earth, Elysium.

In the June 7, 2013 release, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, a crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.

When a real father and son play a father and son, it takes me out of the whole thing, I don't know why. And so far, Jaden Smith has been more annoying than interesting each time I've seen him in a movie. Besides, Shyamalan.........hmmm, not sure... wink.gif On another note, Will Smith - does this guy ever age? tongue.gif ......But Isabelle Furhman was so good in Orphan, I might still be curious...

Man when will he get back into Independence Day 2 or Bad Boys3

Like zoey said, we have 3 in this genre coming next year.

I am not afraid....wink.gif

I guess The Last Airbender franchise plan didn't work out. tongue.gif

I also note that he's not doing the screenplay. Good call, as his strength is directing, especially for mood.

Why wait when the biggest and most important one is coming on the 21st. I call it – Blacker Friday. Starts out in 3D and expands to 4 and 5D.

HAL-9000: What is going to happen?
Dave: Something wonderful.
HAL-9000: I'm afraid.
Dave: Don't be. We'll be together.
HAL-9000: Where will we be?
Dave: Where I am now.

Damn the blender, full mix ahead! You have 10 more days to blow that liver to kingdom come. Have at it. smile.gif

BTW, you better believe I’m playing 333 (lottery) on 12-12-12 and 12-21-12. And I'm taking it with me. biggrin.gif

+10...IDK WTH they do this nonsense. I say get him another job elsewhere, but no big Will and most likely his bossy wife Jada has to make sure his son lets a 1st class ride into show bizz. I really don't know who's more damn annoying Jaden or Little Bow Wow with their god forsaken 1 dimensional acting.

Btw the trailer to me screams mish mash of Avatar and John carter of mars. BUT I love this genre too much not to see it anyways.

I prefer a better dividend of 12....6.
I'll be playing 666, which better reflects my.....uh, personality.

Sorta hits me as a head-on collision between "Outlander" and "The Future Is Wild." If somebody buys me a matinee ticket, I'll be the guinea pig.

Love it! I wanted to order one for my wife for Christmas but I have a rule of never ordering anything from anyone who doesn’t give an address or phone number. I don’t care what kind of business you have; not having a phone number is inexcusable to me.

Hmmmm, I didn't notice that.

They advertise on Huntington Post all the time and I have ordered from them in the past with no problems.
I do have quite a collection of t-shirts...wink.gif

On your recommendation I’ll give them a try. However, if things don’t work out...

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.” Jules

I got one of the "I survived..." for the missus. Had to get the ol' gal something for X-mas. Or talk about your great vengeance & personal anger...

Got my ex a leg chain that attached to the stove so she couldn't make it out of the kitchen to nag me. Maybe that's why she's an ex now. tongue.gif

Cypher's first name wouldn't happen to be Louis? smile.gif

Not courage. Lack of common sense would be more like it.

1. Shyamalan.
Hopefully he'll have his usual humble cameo ala Hitchcock, popping up as a UPS ordinary guy with a bigger purpose, delivering an important package on a deserted Earth to Will Smith sometime at 2/3 of the movie.
2. Jaden Smith.
Did it *have* to be Will Smith's son? He's a mediocre actor (I'm not saying he won't improve) and it seems he's just been cast because his dad most likely pushed it.

BUT... I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, and maybe I'll go see it, cause I simply can not dislike Will Smith. smile.gif

I'll give it a chance for one reason:

Movies to complain about: "Devil", "The Last Airbender", "The Happening", "Lady In the Water", "The Village", etc. "The Sixth Sense" was a masterpiece. "Signs" was "meh" but a decent popcorn movie. YMMV.
