My living room is 20x13. It runs north/south with my screen wall to the north. My couch is at 14' from screen. Screen is a 16:9 106" diag. I have a 5.1 klipsch synergy system and an onkyo 607 receiver.
My biggest problem is a 7' opening into the kitchen on the east wall. From the screen wall it goes from 8' to 15'. Which that makes a problem for my right surround placement. I have a ceiling height of 9' 8" so is header above the opening too high for my speaker? Instead of the sidewalls, should i put the surrounds on the south wall? Or, how about mounted on the ceiling? If on the ceiling, would it be better to buy some in-wall speakers instead of my triangular synergys?
I have this room gutted right now, so i want to run speaker wire before i drywall.
Thanks for all the help.
