I have an old laptop running windows 2000 and im looking for software to trigger a mp3 file of angry dogs when it hears a sound.
The lap has internal mic that is quite sensitive and a whopping 64 mb of ram which is sadly the max this box can support. also a 300 mhz celeron.
so im looking for any software that can detect a sound on the mic input and trigger an mp3 or wav file , then it needs to wait for the file to play to the end and start listen for sounds again. it should run in less than 10 mbs of ram if possible.
I can also install linux if there is any program for linux that can do this.
is there anyone who has tryed to build an electronic dog to scare burglars ?
do they work ? and who has suggestion to a program that can trigger the mp3 ?
is this something that I can make easy in visual basic ? if so how ?
