Help with 8350 placement please

Hi,

I've decided to go with the Epson 8350, but the problem is I can't mount it to the ceiling. To make things worse, in front of where the screen will go I have a bunch of windows with very little space between, so I can't have a permanent shelf there.

I will have to have something that is moved into place unless there is another solution. I understand you can have this projector quite a bit off center? Here's a rough sketch of my layout:





Would I be able to have my projector either off to right or left as shown above? What are the limitations with this placement (meaning how far to the side can you go)?

Since you're going farther away from the screen, I'm sure I'd be losing some brightness, but might be worth it.

There's a chance I've answered my own question. :-)

I THINK the image below is telling me the projector can be 8'11" from the center of a 130" screen.




Am I correct?

Does anyone have experience with this? How much did it effect the picture quality and brightness?

Thanks. I made the move and picked it up today. Haven't yet tried to go too far left or right, but the up/down lens shift has already been a huge help.

I'll update this thread once I try.
