Anyone get warranty work done on their Sony?

My 7 day old Sony 55EX640 has an area with a slight green glow. Called Sony and the normal reset this, unplug, etc. didn't work. They said a senior tech support agent will call. Has anyone gone through warranty repair on their larger Sony tv? How does it work?

Sorry that I can't answer your question, but please keep the forum updated with what you find out and how your repair goes. I for one will be interested in the outcome (as a fellow Sony owner 60EX645)

If it's only 7 days old I'd just return it.

It was bought as a replacement claim on an old defective tv from Sony.

Anyway, tech support called and they can't repair the screen defect so they are sending out a new unit. I am to put the damaged unit back in the box and ship it back.
