Basic A/V Connection Question

DVI does not carry audio. You either have to run audio out on the computer to a sound system, or connect via dvi to vga to the tv and then connect an audio cable from the computer to the audio ins on the tv corresponding to the vga port to get sound from the tv's speakers.

It would be helpful if you'd provide the model number of your particular Panasonic, but if you check your owner's manual there should be instructions on getting audio from a DVI source connected to an HDMI input. On my GT50, i'd have to connect an audio cable from the laptop's headphone/speaker jack output to the analog audio input on my TV's Component/Composite Video input, then go into the audio menu and associate audio on that HDMI input to the Component/Composite Video input. Hopefully your TV has the same method available.
