We have to make a decision between:
Samsung 75ES9000 or LG84LM960V.
Samsung is listed at $10.000 but it is a 1080p TV - LG is listed at $20.000 but it is 4K.
I watched both side-by-side and 4K definitely is something else - no competition. (I watched upscaled Casino Royale Blu-Ray on 4K - and while it was not truly 4K - still a HUGE difference)
Dropping 10K on a 1080p TV in year 2013 does not really make sense as future is definitely 4K and I'll most likely use my new TV for atleast 3 years.
I know there is no 4K source / content at the moment, but I think I will be happy with upscaled Blu-Ray in the meanwhile. On the other side these are the first 4K TV's on the market - which means better and cheaper models will be available in future - how soon - I don't know. But instead of waiting 2 years - I'll rather have it now. I also think over 75" models will always be somehow expensive (if not this expensive) no matter when due to small production runs (as %90 of the consumers go fo 40"-55" - and higher production runs always mean cheaper prices)
I really don't know what to do - but I must make a decision soon - as I have no TV for a month now.
