From another 'Nati resident and Buckeye fan and alumni, just wanted to commend you on your theater and decorating style! Nice kitchen as well. Love the JTR setup and may have to hit you up to take a listen when I decide to upgrade.
Where in Cincinnati do you live now, if you don't mind me asking?
Frohlich,

Any Buckeye alumni is welcome in my house anytime I live in Kenwood somewhat close to the mall. When the time comes just let me know.
Just noticed the kitchen myself, love the two tone with the island standing out!
When you purchased the JTRs, did they spec the center for Triple8 for a reason instead if another matching Triple12 or was it for another reason?
I picked the triple 8 for center because of size. If I picked another triple 12 for center I could never fit a second S2 sub with the dimensions of my room . At some future point my second S2 will go between my left channel and center channel and mirror my existing sub on the right side.
....AND THE CROWD GOES WILDDDDD!!!!! That second S2 will be a fine addition to that already excellent room.
Thanks for the kind words BrolicBeast. Rooms like yours inspired me. You don't need to hear it from me but your set-up is awesome. Should have stopped by when I was in DC with the family over the summer. Could have told the wife it was research
The blank space was just staring at me...I had no choice but to fill it
*thumbs up*
You "halved" the distortion at a given level by doing that. Plus that you even out the room response by adding more pointsources. You'll quite easily notice the improvement.

One S2 is plenty, 2 S2 subs is overkill...4 would be insane...I like it
4 S2's would likely destroy the wife's "woman-cave," creating a fault line right through the kitchen floors and shattering all valuables therein. You'd be paying the "honeyyyyy, what the..." price for a long time!

Its funny you mention that. Yesterday my kids and nephews were in the basement playing Black Ops and we were in the kitchen and you could feel plenty of vibration coming through the floor. Two might start breaking stuff in there
Awesome setup! I am big fan of large speakers for theater use.
I live in Knoxville now, but i am originally from Cincinnati. Grew up on the "other" side of town in Bridgetown but my grandfather lives in Indian Hill..
That's an insane setup you'll be having with the second sub coming in to fill the empty space!! I can just say it will be jaw dropping sensation when those 2subs will start to dance!!
