I've been doing some research on an amp for a home theater sub build and it looks like a lot are saying that getting an amp rated at more power than your sub actually needs is the best option.
I'm building a sealed enclosure for a 15" sub that takes 1,250 watts RMS. The sub is Dual 2 ohm and I will wire it into 4 ohm.
My receiver is a Pioneer Elite SC-25 and I'm not sure what the volts are on the sub out??
I've been looking at Crown XTi and XLS amps, Behringer, and others putting out around 1200 to 1500 watts in 4 ohm bridged mode but am considering ones that put out 2000 watts+ if having overhead is a good option.
