One thing I would love to see, which will never happen, is tire competition. I know the Indy debacle soured F1 on this, but all they have to do is make sure each supplier has a hard compound that will work no matter what. Combine it with my other dream of a significant reduction in aero downforce and F1 might have a lot of on-track passing.
If F1 wants more passing, the best thing thing they can do is stop having tires that throw klag onto the track.
With klag scattered thick outside the racing line, the drivers are not inclined to risk covering their tires with it while attempting a pass.
We end up with a follow-the-leader kind of racing.
