If BBC adopted 720p, then instead of broadcasting 25p within 25i as 25PsF they would simply broadcast 50p with frame-repeat flag for 25p segments. Much simpler IMHO. And no need for deinterlacer to figure out whether it is native 25i or 25PsF.
