Wow, you guys and those bikes, I cant believe how expensive they are!!! I could get a couple of nice old Yankee baseball cards for my collection if I could spend that kind of bucks!!! Hey, but whatever floats your boat, enjoy!

Congrats to Red Bull and Vettel. They deserve it. Glad to see the crowd cheering Vettel on the podium. Anything else would be highly inappropriate. He was fairly humble on the podium. Glad to see that.

You don't want to go cheap on a full suspension rig. For tooling around on public park paved or packed gravel bike paths, just about anything will do well (and you certainly don't need FS for those anyway). But once you start to hit singletrack and XC trails, quality makes a much bigger difference to ride enjoyment and safety.

I wonder if they use development parts on Webbers car. Nothing experimental or unreliable per se but just small parts that are different. Like, for example, small pieces within the alternator. With the lack of testing I wouldnt be surprised. I know they say the cars are identical but...

I don't think that's the first alt.'problem' for Mark this year.As Matchett asked, why shut the car down for an alt.problem?Seb gets a message not to use his drink bottle because its discharging the battery.

Nice E Type from car show. I went to Saturday morn.

Congrats to Vettel. He, Newey, and the new tires that Pirelli came up with at the summer break were a all a perfect match for each other.

We need to appreciate what we are seeing, Vettel could be a legend in the future.

However i would love to see next year as everything changes a bunch of cars and drivers all about equal.
Well, I had hope that something would happen to Vettel that would extend the season, but of course instead it happened to Mark.

Regardless of the win, I can't stand this track and won't miss it next year. It's the only track that seems to have a race line that goes off the track in multiple places. How that's appropriate I've no idea, and it drives me nuts to see people going 4 wheels outside the track because a) it's faster, b) the kerbs do nothing, and c) if they lose control they'll just go out on about 50 yards of tarmac and still not loose any time.

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that next year there isn't a car (cars) that aren't .8's a lap faster than any other car out there.

I think his car was tweaked more than it looked.

I agree. The cars don't look natural going through a lot of those corners. I say bring back the gravel traps. Wanna pull a bonehead pass attempt? (cough, Ricciardio Suzuka) Well wait right here sir, we'll have that crane out to you straight away.

He told the pit that something was still wrong and that the steering was heavy in the right turns, but they told him that the car "looked OK" from their data.

I agree though, something was wrong with the car for sure. His bump with Button must have done something to it.

The race mechanics were told to "tweak" Webber's car and they mis-heard that as "twerk" Webber's car. eek.gif

BS Hes making $37 million a year! He should be able to pass Ricciardo with NO front wing. smile.gif
Seriously though, he did pass plenty of cars. He came back from last to 11th. Dont see why he should have been stuck behind a Torro Rosso for the last 10 laps. His tires werent bad.
btw Vettel blasted by Ricciardo like he was sitting still and that was through a corner.
Just an observation.

Let's put this right....RIGHT now....

For all the Webberphiles out there
:
1) First turn of the race had Webber going OVER the inside kerb.
2) Webber lost control and hits Kimi's right rear.
3) Webber over-corrects and puts his car in to the path of Alonso coming up on the right and destroys the Ferrari's front wing.
4) Both the Lotus and the Ferrari sustained permanent damage.

I am sick of Webber, his whining, and his lackluster results.
His time is done....good riddance.
Actually...
I just watched the start again about 5 times from every view they had to offer.
Webber did indeed go over the kerb. But Webbers front left wheel hit Raikkonens front right wheel and glanced off of Raikkonens front wing endplate. In fact you can see a couple of very small pieces break off of Raikkonens end plate.
Then Webber overcorrected and his right rear hit the left front of Alonsos wing.
So Webber did go over the kerb without having to and lost control momentarily. Causing him to play pinball with Raikkonen and Alonso. Your blame is well placed there. Including imo the overcorrection causing wing damage to Alonso.
But the one big thing that you have overlooked is that the worst damage to Alonsos car was when he collided with Button. In turn 4 Alonsos left front tire hit Buttons right rear tire.
Something else. I listened to Alonsos radio message again several times. He complained that the right front felt heavy but the contact with Button was at the left front.
"I feel like I have done something to the car. Because the feeling is very heavy on the right front."
And lastly. What permanent damage did Raikkonen sustain? I dont think he pitted for any damage and I dont remember him complaining of damage. His brakes were overheating but he would have finished very well if he didnt have to pit with 2 laps left. And he set fastest lap of the race on the last lap.

In summary. You didnt put it right...RIGHT now...

In an interview after the race Alonso said "the steering felt very heavy in right hand turns".
Interesting that in interviews after the race both Pat Fry and Domenicalli said that the contact with Webber ruined Alonsos race but neither one mentioned the contact with Button. Keep in mind that during the race the team told Alonso that the car seemed fine and he should continue. Of course they werent driving it.
Im feeling that there really is some fairly serious friction between Alonso and Ferrari.
I have kinda felt this way all along but I wish Ferrari had picked up Hulkenberg instead of Raikkonen. Im afraid Raikkonens presence may be more than the team can handle. Especially with all the stress of the huge changes happening next year anyway.
