I just watched a show called Man, Moment and Machine. It is a series on the History 2 channel. This episode was "Enzo Ferrari & the Historic Race". It was about how Enzo left Alfa Romeo and beat them at Silverstone in 1951. Ferraris first GP victory. If youre a Ferrari fan youll love it but even if youre not a Ferrari fan I highly recommend it. There is a lot about the beginnings of modern day F1 that any fan should know. And a lot of great original video and pictures from the old days.

I like the looks of the NBCSN graphics better than Speed's. They seem cleaner to me.

Do you know if Ferrari won their class at Sebring. They had been leading for a while.

Very cool shootout with 5 min as everyone went to slicks. Mercedes and McLaren surprised me. For very different reasons.

Call me weird, but I liked the multi-colored NBC Sports logo they used during practice. You could tell it was their first time, as each time it popped up, it was in a slightly different spot.

The NBC graphics look like they match the F1 graphics, sans the slant.

I really appreciate the race-action PIP during the commercials. So far, I'm impressed by NBC Sports.

If this were on Speed, it would have cut the podium for late night infomercials.

NBCSN, kudos for switching to the 16:9 feed, airing P1, PIP for most commercials, last 15 laps commercial free, complete podium ceremony, and a post race show.

Really puts Speed to shame.

Would like to see Paddock Pass return, as well as Buxton's bloopers.

Sebring ---- tuff racing in the GT class.
Ferrari had the bad luck of one of their drivers having his right leg go numb, which forced a driver change who was too slow.
Corvette got lucky there.
If Viper can chase its electrical gremlins down, they will be winning some races this year.

Australian GP --- What a battle royale.
Hats off to Kimi....he got it done.
Ferrari looks very racy this year.
McLaren is in trouble.

Damn,missed the end of Sebring ,woke up to see the cars pulling into parc ferme.Watching a bit of the rerun,did get 2 out of 3 on my Castrol predictor.

The race was won due to only 2 pit stops by Kimi. An extra pit stop would have put him behind Fernando. Congrats to Kimi and Lotus for being able to do that, as tires where a big problem with most of the teams.

Great podium with Kimi, Fernando, and Vettel. A lot of great racing in this one, a very good way to start the season.

But hey, cant Webber learn how to start?????? This is years now he consistently cant start, he drops back at almost every start so badly, what the hell is his problem? Fine with me as i dont root for him anyway, but its really bad for a guy with a top team not to be able to do even a so-so start.

Ferrari had the opportunity to do a 2-stopper and couldn't.
Kudos to Lotus for pulling it off.

He has always been a poor starter.
No one seems to know why.

However, he is an excellent racer, which helps to off-set this problem.
Still....his starts DO cost RB points.

Yi, Webbers starts are a bit of a mystery. A bad start is becoming his trademark.
Kimi must have started on Mediums. I hope he enjoys this one because I doubt it will happen like that very often.
Really cool to see those 3 on the podium together.
All in all a great race. Lots of leader changes and hard racing.
Kinda crazy that Ferrari can only be leading the Constructors by 4 points with a 2 and 4 finish over Lotus with a 1 and 10 finish.

Ferrari seems to be jinxed in ALMS this year. They could have won all 3 races this season if it wasnt for something crazy. They have been leading a lot but cant finish first.
Crashed into each other in the first race. Penalty that was questionable cost them the second race. And a driver issue in the third race.

Video is good on the rebroadcast. The only negative is they are squishing the rebroadcast to make sure the race graphics are not cut off by the NBCSN score bar at the bottom of the screen.

Great first race! NBC did a great job I thought, so my fears were put to rest. Some of my thoughts on this one:

1. Great race by the Iceman. He was leading by over 8 seconds and still set fastest lap in 56 in the 29's.
2. The dual between Alonso and Hamilton in lap 30 was a lot of fun to watch.
3. I hate to see tires limiting the racing like it did today. Seems ridiculous that in cost no object racing that reverse engineering has to take place to engineer the car to work best with the tires. Seems like Perelli has some real work to do. I understand that tires are part of the equation, but I hate to see them limit the speed as much as they did today. Lotus obviously figured out what work best with these tires today.
4. Alonso and Ferrari...please stop speaking Italian on the radio!
5. Webber...really? What a terrible start again, especially in front of the home crowd. I am a huge Mark Webber fan so this was disappointing.

All in all a great race and I am really excited that the season has begun! Can't wait to goto Austin this year!
