So i did as much calibration as i could with the avs disk , and a blue filter, and the picture looks incredible. (for a OLDDDD tv) i had to turn the contrast and brightness up alot but because its always been watched with low settings, i have plenty of bulb left for it. any ways, i watched avatar and it looked perfect. if anything maybe a SLIGHT red tinge on some colors (i attribute to age as i cant get rid of it, but its barely noticeble and only .1% of the time can i see it) But i watched pitch black last night, and I dont know if it was the directors intent, but its seemed like alot of the whites were washed out, no detail, just bright light. but then again on a world with 3 suns, i didnt know if that was right. the dark scenes and normal daylight scenes inside the ships all looked fine. So was it supposed to be like that??? Its just a older sony rp3lcd , so if its not perfect, i dont care as its getting replaced. just wanted to see if i had it set right.
