I had almost given up getting Samsung's AllShare server working on my PC. Having two SamDUNG TVs and Serviio working good I decided to try and debug the problem.
Here is my solution to the problem of only folders showing up and no video files, or some video files.
Make sure that the video files ARE NOT COMPRESSED!! That is, Windows file system compression is not turned on for the file. As soon as I uncompressed my video and mp3's, deleted and re-added the folders back the files were there to be served.
I guess now that I can actually use AllShare, I can now jump around in the video rather than FF a whole lot of times.
I hope that this helps people out. SamDung was made aware of the issue through their 'chat' techs. I hope that they opened a ticket. I also told them (showed them) that when any server (allshare and Serviio) have the folder that is being viewed on the TV removed that the TV SmartHub AND AllShare(on the TV) both CRASH and BURN! Hopefully they might try to fix that software also.
