Stop and restart stream to get HD quality  

Just got me 590 a couple weeks ago. Just a little quirk maybe someone can help me with.
Everytime I start a video stream , with the exception of Netflix, Amazon and Vudu, it seams I have to stop and start the stream over to get an HD quality stream. Is there a setting I might have to set differently or something?
