Do nvidias have audio???

I'm a little confused with this. Do nvidia cards have audio or not and which ones? I haven't seen a card yet that mentions audio. I almost bought a 550Ti card tonight. The card said it does HD video but doesn't mention audio at all. What's the point of being able to play blu-rays if you can't get HD sound. I believe all Radeon HD cards have an audio controller of some level.

Yes all the 500/600 series have audio.
Taken from the 550Ti list of features on the GeForce website

"HDMI Support
Support for HDMI including GPU accelerated Blu-ray 3D support, x.v.Color, HDMI Deep Color, and 7.1 digital surround sound."

Why isn't that feature listed on the boxes? Is there a master list somewhere?

HDMI audio is a pretty standard feature on graphics card these days. That may be why it's not mentioned. Intel, nvidia, and amd all have it, from the low to high end cards. It's possible there are some exceptions, but I don't know any.

Nvidia cards do not have a dedicated audio output (S/PDIF, optical, RCA phono, co-axial) if that is what you are asking. Audio is only available via the HDMI output so unless your amplifier has a HDMI input you will not be able to use it unless you spring for some sort of converter but that will limit you to LPCM and two channels..

AMD/ATI cards are the same way.
