Are all 2 volt out digital sources as loud as Rotel

I just changed digital sources in my system, and I originally was using a Rotel CD, and hooked up a Sony DVP-S999ES DVD/CD player to listen to the same CD. I immediately noticed a huge change in volume, the Rotel is much louder. Why should there be so much of a difference in output from one CD player to another? I believe both components are standard 2 volts out.

There appears to be no such thing as a DVPS999ES.

And of course you didn't say squat about the Rotel.

At any rate rather than wasting our time doing your homework why don't you do your own research, compare the spec sheets and report back?
