my dog chewed my remote for sony streaming player smp-n200. I downloaded the remote for my android, but I can't get the player to stay on long enough to recognise mynetwork. a new remote is a ridiculous 48.00. I only paid that for the whole player plus remote at walmart. can someone kindly help me? with Christmas a week away i really don't have the $$ to dish out.

Did you look at any other remotes you may have to see if it can be programmed for another device? Quite a few can. I'd start with any Sony codes for a DVD or BluRay player. There's always a universal remote but I haven't shopped for one in quite some time, except for ones that are above the $48 price, so not sure how cheap they come these days.
