denon 3312 amazon warehouse deal

Hi They have at amazon through their warehouse program a 3312 for 493.00

has anyone used this program before? Should I give it a gamble?

any thoughts on this would be appreciated. this seems like a steal imho...thoughts?

or is the Onkyo TX-NR818 for 699 new a better deal?

Amazon warehouse purchase still provides the full 3 year warranty if the item is new or open box, although likely no warranty for the used item you are considering, therefore picking up a SquareTrade warranty would be suggested. The 818 bumps up to XT32 so would be the better upgrade for improved audio fidelity.

thank you for the input. how can you tell the wrehouse item is new or used?

It says used for the Denon in Question. I just looked.

I bought mine amazon warehouse about 2-3 mo ago. Looks and works perfect. Receipt doesn't say anything about used or open box. I purchased for 550 which was the lowest it had been for a while. I don't regret the purchase at all. Under 500 sounds awesome.
