I know that the best way to decide would be to audition both of these but that is not possible for me so I'm hoping for some insight. The Polks are on sale right now for $149 ea so they would run me about $50 more for the pair (unless I could grab the Pioneers on Tiger Direct before they sell out again at $200 pr). I've read that the Pioneers are pretty laid back/neutral sounding. Are the Polks similar in that regard? I've read very very good things about the Pioneers but they appear to be significantly less efficient than the Polks. By the way, my use will be 90% HT/TV and 10% music. Either will be paired with a center, bookshelves and a sub for a 5.1 system so please keep in mind the matching bookshelves and centers and which would provide the best overall system. The sub will probably be the PA-150. The room is 22x17x7.5 and is carpeted. Thanks!
