^ I hear you man. You are a lot more active than I am as far as GTGs are concerned, so I understand. The good news is you have 3 months until the event. biggrin.gif Let me know what you find out, we'd love to have you guys come out. We've got a nice list of speakers to audition so hopefully worth your while.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend because my wife works both days (I have three young children, so I'll be hanging with them all weekend). Thanks so much for the open invitation, though, and I wish you guys the best. It'll be a blast for sure.

No problem. It's very unlikely this will be the last event so maybe next time? wink.gif

Guys,

I live in Central NJ (near Princeton) and would love to attend. I can bring in Soda and Snacks.

I noticed that some of you are coming from Northern NJ and we may be able to carpool together.

Great, sounds like I made the cut. I can bring beer, snacks, dessert or content since your gear quota is full. Let me know! I'll be passing tax free costco with the worlds best tax free liquor store on the way =)

Sounds good!

Also - since we're almost at 25 members, I'll start making a list of item's we "need" and will look for volunteers for each. Many of you had already responded with what you would like to bring and that's cool. For the others I'll just leave it up to you after the list is made. cool.gif

But see if you can get the attenuating kind, not just the foam ones. I use the Etymotic ones myself, but I'm sure there are others.

Thanks for great find they looked like they will fit the bill!!! They are on order to me as I write this.

Nice! So, with those you would be able to attenate the level to whatever you are comfortable with, right? Fancy!

I was thinking that anything else designed for use at a firing range should suffice when it's time to get serious...

Ha, more practical then fancy!! Provides NR up to 26db but also amps up to 18db if needed.. Great for the range when shooting large bore or
listening to an attached mp3 player while riding the tractor!

You're welcome. I've been using them for a while, because I still go to quite a few concerts every year. They can't be used for critical listening -- because they attenuate the highs more then the mids -- but for the pounding you're likely to take for part of that day they'll end up being your best friend. smile.gif

Erich must have been a busy guy this week - I just got a shipment notification as well for my parts. biggrin.gif

You can definitely bust out the boxes easily. Do you have the cutlist and boxnotes programs installed? You can just take that info to HD or Lowes and have them cut for you. Even if a couple of them are off by a bit, just cut a few extra if you need to. smile.gif

Oh, sorry about the Daytons. biggrin.gif
no they arent installed but i plan on playing with them tonight, i have a table saw that can be used for smaller stuff so as long as HF/lowes gets close itll work fine. theres just no way i could cut a sheet of MDF on it. & i can do the cutouts with a jigsaw

actually i should ask the local place that is literally behind my house if they will cut to size. ive only ever gotten full sheets of stuff from them before /hummm

If you've got basic tools like a small table saw or circular saw and guide, you can definitely work with the sized down stock from the store. Up until a couple weeks ago that's all I had to work with. Santa brought me an upgraded table saw and I recently picked up a track saw kit from eurekazone. I found it nearly impossible to safely rip full sheets by myself with the table saw! I'm LOVING the track saw so far.

Also - PM'd back and forth with Mark (imagic) and we agreed it would be best to leave his speakers out of the demo session for the day. Those beasts would simply be too hard to maneuver by himself.

Any other entries out there? smile.gif

Just let me know what's on the menu and I'll supply the goods. I'm really looking forward to this.
Edit: I see I'm supposed to pick something. I'll see if I can get my wife to make a contribution, otherwise I assume there is a grill for cooking?

No worries man, we've got time. I figured I would leave it up to the attendees as to what they would like to bring.
