It may get even better - there's something else we might be adding to the mix, after Andrew and I work out a few details this afternoon. Stay tuned...
Andrew and I discussed a few things today, and it seems we can accomidate one more entry, so there's a very good chance you'll see a pair of these at the GTG. You can thank us later...

Id assume we will want music with more of a range then last time as we were mostly looking at subs, as for movie clips it may just be easier to use one of the demo disks, i know Rilla has scuba Steve and a few others. they contain most of the popular demo clips
I've pretty much got one request, Comfortably Numb, original recording from The Wall. Hey You is also a great song to demo. But if I can get just one song played its definitely CNumb.
Ben - I vote for the sake of simplicity we use the same video clips from the last meet as a starting point. Do you have the video/picture to go with them?
Can anyone reccomend a good program to rip and edit audio?
Oh I've got the audio editing down pat. Just need to know what yall wanna hear.
I also can do any cutting up of video, that just takes a lot longer.....
If we use the same clips from last time for the movies, that is like pure bass.......... but it would make my job really easy.
Also if we decide to use a demo disc for the movie clips; If I could get a hold of it I can automate it with the music portion which would make the day go smooth.
That's probably my favorite song of all time, but it's not really a speaker demo tune. There isn't a lot in the way of dynamics I'm afraid.
I know but if I'm going to seriously consider buying Neosis or another speaker at the GTG that's all I need to hear. 6 min 23 seconds and I'm ready to buy.

You're that into Numb? I have a feeling we're going to get along just fine...

That's very cool...
I'd be interested in hearing these myself. I've never heard SVS speakers - only SVS subs. Is someone purchasing them? Or is SVS putting them out on loan?

mptrim works great for slicing up mp3's into shorter sections without any change to bit rate, encoding, or quality - it works like TsMuxeR does for video files -- in that it just cuts out a section of a file without modifying the section. Bonus, like TsMuxeR, it is free. Won't help you with FLAC files though.
Guys I don't need software suggestions. I own licenses to professional mixing/mastering software. (FL Studio) as well as a number of other things. I just need the content you all want to hear.

To obtain the subs I review a lot of the time I'm dealing directly with a principal or senior person within the company, so I've got a growing collection of contacts that I can draw upon. Naturally Andrew and I wanted to see if a few of the typical cast of characters would be interested -- like Mark and Jeff -- but I decided to expanded that a bit and got a hold of several others, among them Tom V. and Jim F. from PSA and Ed Mullen from SVS. Jim's wife is due around then so he wouldn't be able to attend. Tom wanted to stick around the shop, since more then likely Jim was not going to be their. I had asked Ed if he would be willing to demo the Ultra series, but he had a previous engagement so won't able to make it. However, he generously offered up the Ultra for us to demo. Andrew and I discussed the details yesterday so it's looking real good.
Those SVS towers look very nice actually I looked at the accompanying center and surrounds and they all have a great look to them in (Black Gloss) . I too have only heard the subs so hearing these for the first time with other offerings with be a treat.

That's awesome Jim! I've been interested in hearing these as well.
