Denon 2313 or Marantz 6007 ...

I've narrowed it down to these 2 receivers. The Marantz is $200 more. I realize there are a lot of similarities but some feel the inherent sound of the Marantz is better. My usage is in a Home Theatre. 50% Movies, 30% HDTV and 20% Sports. It isn't used only for Music although I do watch the odd Concert in Bluray. Need someone to make up my mind for me ... been debating for days. Any educated input ??

Get the Denon and save 200 bucks. Its brand new and its a CI model, there is nothing to lose. Only a true audiophile (like me) could hear the difference between the two.

Choose the one that best meets your feature/input/output needs as either would serve you well.

I guess either serves my input/output. Only connect an OPPO bluray. Sat receiver and Media player. All through HDMI. Occasionally an HD video camera through the front HDMI. The Feature sets that I would use appear to be on both ... Audessy appears to be the same. I have traditional 7.1 with surround backs, not going to be using front wides or heights.

Some prefer Denon ... others Marantz .... no one can really answer the question as your ears and environment are totally different.

I would probably use the AVR to upconvert the Satellite to 1080p for my projector. As far as video scaling on HDMI, I assume they both use the same chipset? Does anyone know what the chipset is? Thanks for the help. Jeff.
