hi there
i would like to ask on what to do in my situation., i own a mid-end samsung 5.1 home theater system. my home theater system is quite old now. it can only decode dolby digital audio format. and i use my playstation 3 as a blu-ray player. now my problem is most of the new BD movies that i just bought are already using dolby trueHD, i wish to down sample this audio format to a dolby digital 5.1 format, is it possible for the playstation 3 to do this operation ? because if i play the dolby trueHD audio track i only hear the center (where all voice and sound fx play) and front left and right (where all background musics play).
thank you
oh and may i ask if you are choosing a home theater system, when will you consider buying a home theater system all in one box (where speakers and a BD player with a built-in amplifier) and a home theater system with a digital amplifier and a set of speakers (not bundled, sometimes bundled for the product line up of onkyo or pioneer)
thanks again
