Is it pretty good? any other suggestions? I hear that the musical fidelity phono pre amp is much nicer, but more expensive. any other good phono pre amps under a 100?

One person said that they like it, but can't get rid of a hum. the difference between the cheaper and better phono pre amps is a hum and less noise?

Look at the Budget Phono preamps on the Needle Doctor website. The Musical Fidelity V-LPS is excellent.

The Cambridge 551P is another good one.

I have also heard that the Bellari is good, for $76.

These are probably the best you can get for under $100 (and they are probably as good or better than much more expensive phono preamps).

I have a Parasound Zphono preamp and really like it. It was over a $100 though ($150).
