RS-MM LL is almost a full fledged n9.0+ in appearance but acts like a n7.5 as far as Black Level enhancement. The combination of having appreciable Gain while also being able to improve Black levels, produce vibrant colors, and maintain bright Whites on the screen is what makes RS-MM LL the advantageous Mix that it is.

is this the one you are referring to?

RS-MaxxMudd LL v.2(for lower lumen pj's and controlled light home theaters)

20 oz. Delta Pearl Metallic #02601
8 oz. Liquitex Basics Silver
12 oz. UPW flat

12 oz. Minwax Polycrylic - Satin finish
15 oz. distilled/tap water**
this is the only mix of the rs-maxxmudd family that can be rolled

The Liquitex Basics Silver is found at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or Dick Blicks. (Artist's paint area)
The Delta Pearl Finish is also found at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or Dick Blicks. (Craft paint area)
The Behr 1850 and Minwax Polycryic is found at Home Depot, Menards, Lowe's, Walmart, Ace.

Yes...but the Delta Pearl is extremely scarce....though strangely enough a quick search turned up these sources:

http://www.createforless.com/Delta+Ceramcoat+Acrylic+Gleams+8oz+Pearl+Finish/pid39478.aspx
http://shop.plaidonline.com/delta-ceramcoat-acrylic-paint-pearl-finish-8-oz/026010802W/item.htm

http://www.amazon.com/Plaid-Delta-8-Ounce-Ceramcoat-Acrylic/dp/B000YQK3CA

This substitute is primarily used now:
http://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-Metallic-253611-Decorative-32-Ounce/dp/B003EELN1Y

Obviously, if you can get 3 -8 oz bottles at the lowest price shown in the provided links, you'll save some cash.

But you had better hurry! When I find these type bargains, I often stock up and wipe out available inventory. cool.gif

I'll give you first shot though...... wink.gif

Look right to the post above....here's a direct link.

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...0#post19569840

PB....why does the ingredient listing on the 1st page not contain the sources?

Also, the Delta Silver Metallic has now been replaced by the Liquitex "Silver". This is a "Artist Paint" that comes in a Tube and is found in the "Art Supplies" section, not in the "Craft Paints" section where the Delta paints (Pearl Finish) is found. Please update the 1st page.

That is what the recipe calls for....yes? Your just getting off a little easier "cash-wise" by being able to substitute the 3 individual 8 oz Bottles of Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic Gleams Pearl Finish (24 oz total) for the more expensive 32 oz Jar of Rustoleom Metallic Accents - White Pearl

Including Freight I hope since for 3+ the price shows to be under $5.00 a bottle.

Either way that's only 1/2 of what a 32 oz Jar of the other Pearl Finish costs...before freight.

saw this for v.2.1, do i need 10 oz or 8 oz of Liquitex Basics Silver?, i can also spray this right?

RS-MaxxMudd LL v.2.1
(for lower lumen pj's and controlled light home theaters)

20 oz. Rustoleum Metallic Accents - White Pearl
10 oz. Liquitex Basics Silver
12 oz. Behr 1850 Ultra Pure White - Flat

12 oz. Minwax Polycrylic - Satin finish
20 oz. distilled/tap water**
this is the only mix of the rs-maxxmudd family that can be rolled
post #40 of 64
It does say 10 oz.

Of course you can spray. The comment shown only alludes to the ability to rill if one has to.

Spraying is always to be considered as being the preferred method of application.

None of them have this kind of Sprayer, and frankly....even if they did you'd spend as much or more to rent one, and perhaps have to deal with equipment not ideally suited for the job, or already worn to a frazzle.

Don't worry...it's a good investment for now...and you will find use for it later as well.

Seems to be. 2 months ago it was going for $39.00 from the same source, but let's face facts. When we start sending as much business to such Vendors as we are apt to do when things get crackin', the Laws of Supply & Demand kick in and prices go up.

As long as the damage is limited to the outside edge, and your butting Trim up flush against that edge, there should be no worries. Ditto should trim overlap the edges.

You can get a refurbished HV2900 with a new gun from Gleem Paint in Gulfport, MS for $49.00 + shipping. (FYI - shipping to Phoenix, AZ via UPS Ground was $13.08. Total for sprayer & freight $62.08). I have purchased 2 sprayers from them and both work great. Here is a link: http://www.gleempaint.com/noname.html

Explain is better. Either it's too early, or my Coffee is having no effect whatsoever on my cognizant ability to comprehend your explanation.

Be hasty with your reply...as I'm ensconced at my PC at present.Ask whatever you may. biggrin.gif

since i am cutting mdf at 45 degree, the length between which edges/corners of mdf should be 1'' larger than wooden frame, the inside edges/corners or outiside edges/corners?, i mean the length of mdf after cutting at angle, length from outside or from inside, which one should be 1'' larger than frame

along with glue on wooden frame for sheet should i nail the right and left edges of sheet to frame and what nail and washer should i use?

and also should i wait for painting to be done before i glue the sheet to frame?, so that i have other side of sheet if i mess up one side of it?

Man.....I fabricate all sorts of things all the time, but without a rough drawing of what your describing, I gotta say I'm just about clueless as far as understanding what it is your describing.
I don't know why you need 45 degree cuts, or why the Mdf needs to be just 1" bigger / smaller than the inside / outside edges.

Don't take offense....I'ts all "My Bad" I'm sure. redface.gif

...........but I do know this for certain. Painting first and then attaching last is fraught with risks. Even if you nail the first side's coating, if you mess it up while attaching it, then you have no option left anyway. Better to create the entire assembly, hang it in place, and then do a "Best Job" at painting the screen surface.
