62HM196, 1080p, and a modulator

Is it physically possible to input 1080p to a Toshiba DLP 62HM196 by use of either a QAM or ATSC modulator?

I've seen reference to being able to use the Ant1 as a 1080p input, if you can find a way to actually get a 1080p signal to it. And there appear to be some ways of taking at least a VGA signal and turning it into at least a clear QAM signal.

If I connect a computer to a QAM modulator like this, would I be able to get a proper 1080p signal to the tv?

I was considering an offer on a 62hm196 set and I was curious about its capabilities. I could have gotten it for 150 to 200, and I was checking out cheaper options for RF modulation for bringing in a signal from an HTPC. My question was whether it was technically possible to get the signal to the TV from my computer without tearing out half the lines before putting them back in.

I'm not in the $1000 market, and I don't need HDMI for my setup. The TV has it, for that matter, just not for 1080p.

My video card puts out a 1080p signal over HDMI. This set takes that and knocks it down to 1080i at the HDMI input, then rescales it back to 1080p. It's a 2006 "1080p" set, where its physically capable of displaying 1080p, but it doesn't accept it as a straight input over HDMI.
