PS3 Slim cooling fan ?

Wondering after having my original fat die (YLOD ) last week should I buy the auxiliary cooling fan option for my new slim ? Im not a gamer mainly use it s a Blu Ray player and media server but I do gaming once in a great while.

Slims run much cooler, and seem to be much more durable. Mines been going for a year, and both my phats died at 2 years to the month, so I guess I'll let you know for sure in another year.
