Samsung HW-E450 vs LG NB3520A

Trying to narrow down what exactly is the differences between the two. I can get the LG one for $50 less than the Samsung, and wonder if that's a no brainer.. or is there something that would push one over the other

I'd give a bump to something with better Bluetooth performance..

I have a Samsung TV but I don't think it has ARC

I have the Samsung HW-E450 and am beginning to love it. As far as I can tell, they both have similar features. There are 2 things that I like better about the Samsung that might not matter to you. First, the Samsung soundbar is almost 1 1/2 inches shorter. Depending on where you will be placing or mounting it, this might be an issue for you. Second, the LG doesn't have any HDMI inputs. For me, this was a deal breaker.

I actually have both right now, I just picked up the e450 after having the 3520a for a few days. I picked up the e450 mainly because I wanted to see how the ARC feature worked and liked the idea of having my original remote work everything. I was able to hook my Vizio tv up to the e450 and the ARC and CEC features work great, the soundbar turns on with the TV and the volume is controlled via the tv volume.

With the 3520 I was able to use the analog audio and have volume control with the tv remote. If I used the optical input I had to use the soundbar remote. Now I could work around this with a universal remote but don't really feel like moving to one.

In comparing the two sound bars, I really like the sound of the LG much more than the Samsung. The samsung sounds flat and doesn't have as wide of a soundstage as the lg does. Even when the lg is connected with analog it sounded better. I am going to do more A/B comparisons tomorrow and over the next few days but I am leaning towards the lg. Plus it was on sale at microcenter for 191 last week compared to 269 for the 450.
