Greeting and Salutations........Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

What did Santa bring you? Either theater or non theater related.

Ummmm.......I'll start.

For the theater I got some theater related decorations, pictures, and a couple of blue rays.

Non theater related, a watch, some Colts gear, and some other nice little odds and ends plus a really nice leather bomber type jacket.

With all the money I spent last year on equipment I'm surprised Santa stopped by this year. biggrin.gif

Wishing all of you all the best during this Holiday Season!

Warmest Regards,

RTROSE

Apple TV
Some Blue tooth headphones, perfect for my Ipad from a previous year
Nike plus fuel band

(My wife shopped at the Apple store)

In her stocking was a Roku for "her" TV and a Samsung Tablet with a Built in IR blaster to use as a High Class Remote while she is couch surffing.

The snow is on its way. Supposed to be here late tonight and into Wednesday. While the weathermen can't really predict the weather they are seemingly adjusting the snow totals. Last model shows 5 to 10 inches with pockets of 12 inches.

Sounds like you and the Mrs did A OK on the Christmas presents this year. Enjoy your holiday!

Warmest Regards,

RTROSE

HT related, blurays to last several weeks.

Merry Christmas

Non-HT related, got a Northface windstopper down jacket from my wife, perfect for the my sunrise photo shooting.

HT related, had Big came over to pick up the HT again.

Merry X'mas everyone! smile.gif

We've got a white Christmas here in Upstate New York!

As for what Santa brought me:

A new graphics card for my computer
Some video games and movies
A Ridgid JobMax (because you ALWAYS need a new power tool biggrin.gif)

Merry Christmas everyone!

AAustin, I picked up that tool a while back when I needed a right handed driver. I have the impact driver, drill, and multitool heads and there are times when it is very handy. I needed it recently to secure the rope light under the lip of a stage.

Lumagen Mini3D with Chromapure bundle to calibrate a new RS4810. Although, what I really would have liked is a buyer for my house so I can begin new home construction that will include new 25X16 theater. cool.gif

Seeing you use it in Vik's build is actually one of the things that swayed me to get the JobMax. I originally wanted an oscillating multi-tool, but decided the JobMax had a lot more versatility with all of the different attachments. I don't have anything extra for it yet, but it's nice to know that the option is always there.

Thanks for the review!

Merry Christmas follow AVS'ers!.......I am hoping to sneakily get our room drywalled in the next 12 months

The giving was somewhat "re-allocated" this year for obvious reasons!.....that's only about half of it too (respective Grandparents lost the plot big time - there's a $40 jumpsuit in there somewhere....)

I got myself a pair of hyperfreak boardshorts (which, as any fellow surfers out there will know, are pretty darn awesome smile.gif)....oh and there is a Festool router on its way biggrin.gif

Well, well, well..........Looks like Santa might be delivering a Blizzard to part of the country. They have upgraded us from a "Winter Storm Warning" to a "Blizzard Warning". They are calling for 10 to 15 inches of snow and wintery mix with winds to 40MPH. Sounds like a good time eh?

Stay tuned!

Doesn't sounds like a good time to me! frown.gif

We got a dusting of snow here in Southern New Hampshire (USA), so had a white Christmas; complete with a couple of cars sliding off the road in front of our house. Most of it melted before sundown, so no worries. Looks like mostly clear weather for the rest of the week, so you have my sympathy.

And, Santa brought me a 15-Film Man Cave DVD Pack - Sci-Fi/Horror edition. Reading the descriptions is probably better than the movies, but that is part of the fun, right?

A sampling of the ratings:
  • Rated R for Strong Horror Violence, and Some Sexuality
  • Rated R for Strong Violence and Sexuality, and for Language
  • Rated R for Vampire Violence, Language, and Nudity
  • Rated R for Strong Sci-Fi Violence and Gore, and for Language
  • Rated PG-13 for Disturbing Images, Intense Terror Sequences, Thematic Elements and Language

My Christmas present is my wife not asking how much I’m spending on the theater build. smile.gif

Sounds like what we had here last week RT. Was a heavy wet snow that froze solid overnight. Roads are back to normal, but it really sucked for a few days. Hopefully they keep changing the totals for you in a downward direction.

Received one theater related gift from the fam. Counter top popcorn machine (4 oz kettle), and a box of the pre-measured corn/oil/salt kits. Made a couple batches yesterday and it was fantastic!

HT related:
- hand me down D-Link 4 drive NAS with 4x 1.5 TB drives
- hand me down 4x 2 TB drives - original idea was to replace the 1.5 TB drives, but I think I'll either load em up in my desktop as a NAS, or buy another 4 drive NAS box for them
- a few Blu-rays
- TASCAM US-122MKII USB interface/MIDI interface/XLR preamp w/ phantom power

Non HT related:
- new basketball
- couple basketball shorts
- dri-fit running shirt

my son also got a new hand-me-down gaming PC, setting it up for him now - my brother was clearing out lots of PC hardware biggrin.gif

Mitre saw stand and enough Home Depot gift cards for compound mitre saw. Last major tool to purchase before I start my build. Sweet!
Santa brought me a reciprocating saw, popcorn machine and some BD movies.

I think the most disturbing item he brought is a "People of Wal-Mart" calendar....

I keep waiting for Santa to bring me a new PJ. This year he brought a Darbee and will make it easier to wait for when he digs a little deeper for the pj. biggrin.gif

My theater-related gift was similar to ThunderBird2678's. My wife got me in-wall speaker wire, HDMI cables, and wall plates for the future basement theater build. The important thing, however, was the implied approval to build the theater.

For non-theater stuff I got a jacket, new computer mouse, and other fun stuff. The coolest thing is the Bucky Balls. I'm glad I got some while they're still available. That's the best "work toy" ever.

Well Santa delivered 10 to 12 inches of snow to parts of southern Indiana. Fun stuff. Not as bad as I was expecting, the best thing is my wife paid to have the drive plowed/shoveled/snowblown so I would not have to do it after working a very long and tiring day. Mrs. RTROSE you are the best!

Sounds like you guys got some really nice things both for the HT and "other stuff". biggrin.gif

Jackpot here.... my wife bought me a Denon 3313CI, which was a joint anniversary (Dec. 11) and Christmas present. Also got a BluRay burner for my PC, a nice bean bag chair that will be great for the kids, and "The Amazing Spider Man" on BluRay. Lots of other non-HT stuff too. And, I'm off work till Jan 2nd so I have lots of time to work on finishing up my theater build and enjoy the new toys!

Santa brought some HT gifts this year. I'm rather happy with my setup and I'm not planning any more upgrades for a while (after these). Here's what I got:

Danley DTS-10 Sub kit (OK, that was an early Christmas gift).
Behringer Feedback Destroyer Pro
Bunch of BRs (Bourne Trilogy, HP 7-Disk set, Finding Nemo, and a few others).

I've been trying to get ready for the sub commissioning, and have been learning about sub amps, EQ, and room EQ. There's a lot to learn!

Merry Christmas!

I think the rest of the family likes this whole theater idea. I received enough Blu-rays to host movie nights for several months (although we have already put a pretty big dent in the pile). New additions include The Road, Social Network, Baraka, Winter's Bone, True Grit, The Fighter, Salt, Act of Valor, Indiana Jones Box Set, Tora Tora Tora, Bourne Legacy, The Pacific, Hanna, The Conspirator, Limitless, Inside Job, The Thin Red Line, LA Confidential, & Wall St - Money Never Sleeps. The wife was kind and wrapped the URC remote I bought myself a few weeks back and she enjoyed opening her popcorn maker and 100 ct box of popcorn tubs. Santa is grooming the boys to be future AVS members and brought them Hunger Games, X2-XMen United, Captain America, Hook, & Uncle Buck.

It may take me a little longer than expected to finish the last 10% of the theater. Just sayin'. wink.gif

Merry Christmas!

Also, here in Canada, Santa brought a CRAP Boxing Day sale at both Future Shop and Best Buy.
