I just heard about the Netgear Powerline Music Extender XAUB2511:

It connects to your LAN via Ethernet at one end, and at the other end it converts the packets to USB and finally to RCA audio plugs.

I don't know if it's available yet in Canada... OK, it's $131 at NCIX.

Doesn't seem to be DLNA compliant, though.
