Hi8 analogue tapes in PAL to Digital NTSC??

Folks
Before I buy a Sony DCR TRV350 (NTSC) off eBay, I wonder should I be concerned that my old Hi8 analogue tapes were created on a Sony CCD-TRV65E in PAL format??
I plan to transfer my 50+ tapes via a Mac Pro to storage on DVD and am cautious of this issue.
Any thoughts would be appreciated for this novice.

capture them natively (in PAL) in the DV (or better) codec to your hard drive. You will preserve the quality that way. Use the DV file masters to create your NTSC DVD projects for your convenience (but don't use them as your masters).
