That sounds awesome (and more expensive lol), but I thought those drivers were made for 600watt rms?

Nograveconcern is providing great info, but I wanted to point out that the differences between those drivers are not anywhere near 100+% -- given the same xmax, a 15 has about 35% more Vd than a 12 and an 18 30% more than a 15.

Don't forget to factor in shipping for the SI...it'll be between $30-$40.

Varies somewhat with box size. Check the thread. If you want to be more conservative you could get the dual 2ohm and have 600w per channel.

I may have worded it wrong. Displacement limited SPL difference is around 3db. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that. wink.gif

Do assuming I went this route, while I only have one of the 18" built, is there any use for my PSW505, or is that pretty much pointless?

Also, assuming down-firing, how much clearance above the carpeted floor do I need?
