Cheapest way to get music to outdoor speakers?

I just got a couple basic wired outdoor speakers for my garden. I am trying to find the cheapest way to get music to them, whether that be Internet radio/pandora or my iPod. They are wired speakers.

I have my full receiver/surround sound setup in my game room and don't want to and can't tie into that receiver and I prefer not to buy another receiver just for some outdoor music. Is there any super cheap and basic way to do this? Sound quality is not a primary concern. This is mainly for my wife and daughter to be able to have some ambient music while they are in the yard.

Are there any Internet radios with built in amplifiers or power sources for standard speakers? Or are there any single output receivers that are much much smaller than a typical receiver?

The cheapest thing to do will be to get an old stereo receiver from a pawn shop. Or maybe connect them to an old boom box that has speaker connections and an audio input.

If you’re looking for small, some audio manufacturers like Teac and Denon (and I’m sure others) made mini-systems back in the 80s. Your best bet for those is ebay – search compact stereo, shelf stereo, mini stereo, etc.
