Value of building stage for Sub

So, without getting into a huge debate, I am just trying to understand if there is any value in building a stage / riser for my front/rear subs.

I have a "semi dedicated" theater room that is in the basement and I will be carpeting/padding directly over the cement floor.  The sub/bass is certainly decent enough for me, but if I could get a bit more rumble/tactile feedback, etc. I would certainly build a small stage/riser for the subs.

I can't / don't want to build a full subfloor due to height, etc...so the seating area would be on the carpet/pad/cement combo.  If I build the riser for the rear sub it would be build behind the seating area and of course the stage of front.

thanks for the quick feedback...I didn't think so, but I just wanted to make sure.

I will continue to play around with subs, and look to adding a third and perhaps even a fourth.

As a side note, I am getting ready to mud/paint the walls...so I can see the home stretch and thanks again for your help early on.
