i just purchased the doors perception box. the dvd's that come with it are dvd-audio. i have a samsung ht-q40 home theater system that plays dvd-a will i get the hi-rez layer 96/24 or just the dts or dolby 5.1.

If it plays DVD-A, you will be able to get hi-res.

Being a HTiB it would not matter much but according to the specs it doesn't support DVD-A.

That's why I was less than completely positive in my response.  However, if you scan the user's manual, it refers to DVD-A and, specifically, on how to access the DVD-Video vs. DVD-Audio tracks on these discs.  Also, there are multiple references to DVD-Audio (with a capital A).  The best thing, of course, is simply to try one.
