Would a wired connection work???

I had my Wii wirelessly connected for over a year without any problems. Then a few days ago it stopped connecting (no changes to anything else). I just spent almost an hour chatting with the guys over at Nintendo to no avail. Might connecting it with a wired connection help?

I know, I should have asked them, but didn't think of it and they never suggested it.

It worked just fine.

It was odd because the wi-fi worked just fine for well over a year before stopping. And the Wii could still see the signal, just couldn't connect to it. Either way, the LAN adapter worked and was very easy to set-up; just wish I had a longer cord available...
