Another budget matching question

Hello all, I hope I put this in the right forum. I recently received the Jamo S426HS3 speaker package for $105.00 which from what I hear is an amazing deal for what you get. I am new to home theater besides a cheapo wal-mart HTIB and would like some help picking a budget receiver and powered subwoofer for the package. It's fine if either are refurbished since it seems most reputable companies carry at least a 1 year warranty on their refurbs. I would like to stay under $400 for both the sub and receiver if at all possible. IF that isn't reasonable just let me know. Thanks for the input!

How do they sound? I was looking at them too.

I would look on Craigslist if I were you. I've seen some great deals.

Yeah; I can't believe that price! They were selling for around $300 for a long long time (and THAT seemed like a good price...lol).

The Polk PSW505 sub has been going up and down in price, and when it is down it is under $200. That is the best one for a low price I know of. The others you can get for that price are pretty funky.

The Onkyo TX-NR414 is only $230 at Amazon right now...new. If you can fit that in your budget you will have a new unit with warranty, and it is a bargain at that price.

Thanks for the replies guys. Both these receivers only come with the 2EQ and not the Multi-EQ for the sub correct? I would like to have the multi-eq to tune the sub as well but maybe in my price range that just isn't an option..

Great info afrogt! Can you tell me what is better about the 1612 and 1613 over the 591? Just newer versions?

Nevermind I found my answer here. It sounds like there virtually identical.
