Help with Vizio M550VSE and Smooth Motion

I received this TV as a Christmas gift and in the manual it says there is an option to turn off the Smooth Motion effect however I think this might be applicable to the 65" model only. I have gone through every menu item and there is no option to turn this off or on, does anybody know if this can be disabled? If not I guess I'm SOL until there is a firmware update that will let me disable this.
