Connecting Wii U to a monitor with no hdmi and rgb

Good morning,
i have an Hantarex 40" monitor with a rack pc in the back.
I use it as an home theater / media center, running windows xp with an usb 5.1sound card and a cheap 5.1 clartronic surround.
The monitor has DVI , VGA , and S-video inputs.
The monitor can support the following resolutions :

640x480
800x600
1024x768
1280x1024
1366x768 (native)

i nedd to connect a nintendo wii U and i'm thinking to use this thing:

but the better resolution i can use with this converter is 1360x768...do you think that my monitor supports this resolution?

Probably. You should probably hook a PC up to it first though, set a custom resolution of 1360x768, and double check that the monitor will actually take it before ordering the scaler.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the scaler is likely to add another ~30ms of lag on top of what is already likely ~30ms with your display. This may push responsiveness of Wii controls in to "noticeably slow and laggy" territory.

thanks. how to set a custom resolution? do you have any other ideas instead of the scaler?
