upgrading from tb x11. should i use ath-m50s or by an actual gaming headset.

i currently use a tb x11 for talking on my 360, but compared to my ath-m50s i don't like the feel of them. should i just put a mic onto the m50s or get a whole new headset. which would be a cheaper/better option.
