Problem copying HDC-TM900 to computer

I have camera connected to computer and running HD Writer AE 3.0. I have had no previous problem identifying and copying files from the internal memory. This is the first time I am trying to copy from the SD card. AE 3.0 is giving me the following message "unsupported media is inserted." I can record and review the videos on the SD card through the camera but am not able to copy.
Any thoughts?

Did you format the card in the camera before shooting?
