Stage height: 2x12, 2x10, 2x6?

I've seen all three used and I'm wondering what you guys recommend to match a 12" riser?

I'm thinking 2x10 or 2x6 would be better?

Any thoughts?

There is no need to match the riser. Go with what looks the best for the stage design you've picked. Another consideration may be your speaker sizes and locations relative to the screen height and frame location.

Yes I plan on having a single step up (6") on the 12" riser.
